The Pirates of the Caribbean actor appeared virtually as the MTV Video Music Awards' Moon Person on Sunday night.

The actor made his first on-camera appearance since the defamation verdict against ex-wife Amber Heard in June.
The stars are still battling over a defamation case that went largely Depp's way.
A judge has rejected a request from actress Amber Heard to set aside the $10 million judgment awarded against her in favor of her ex-husband, Johnny Depp.
The actor's legal team alleged that an individual with the same name as the person summoned to jury duty appeared at her April trial with Johnny Depp.
The "Aquaman" actor, in an interview, also addressed her pledged divorce settlement to charity and whether it hurt her credibility in her defamation trial.
Heard criticized the role she believes social media played but said she doesn't blame the jury, noting Johnny Depp is "a beloved character" and "fantastic actor.
